Day 63

Day 63.

Not much to blog about today!

We started early today! 9:00!! We took our newish route to the station and caught the train to the office.
We had no coaching sessions planned today because we had to finalise some details for our big soccer clinic which is being hosted at the Italian club tomorrow In Brooklyn. Jeff, myself and Joe have worked hard in putting it together with timings, sessions, prizes, kit and packs for the coaches on how to set out their sessions. Big thanks to Roberto,Keith and Alex for helping us with transport for the kids and organising boys to attend etc. Big help!

Jeff wasn't feeling great so Joe allowed us to finish at 1:30ish and we made our way home to Cape Town!

This may not sound like a big deal but today I fed a squirrel. Jeff said he's done it before in England but I've personally only seen squirrels run for their lives whenever a human is anywhere near them. Jeff caught it on camera and it can be seen at YouTube.com/lukecawdery . It was so cool to feed it, I found a little nut and i could see it was scurrying in the mud looking for some food... So I went over to it. It arched on it's back legs and sniffed the nut, took it and started nibbling on it. Like the squirrel-looking creature in the film ice age! Before that a different squirrel jumped on my arm, crawled up it and then jumped off! Awesome experience.

Soccer clinic tomorrow! Fingers crossed it goes to plan.

All the best
