Day 70

Day 70!

An even earlier start than yesterday! We were picked up Fathyma at 6:45 who took us to Mitchell's plain for an under 13 tournament which takes place annually! There was a massive turnout and it was a lovely day for football, fantastic weather! The team that we were associated with for the day were called Beacon Pirates! A local team from a community called Beacon! The reason we were around that team for the majority of the day was because Fatyma's husband was manager of the team and the whole team met at Fatyma's before the tournament. At 7 o'clock!!! Poor sods.

We took the beacon pirates warm up, doing arsenal v spurs, dynamic stretching and some possession exercises! However we left the coaching in the game to the actual manager, it was not our team to intrude on! Their first game didn't go to plan, losing 5-1! It was against an academy to be fair to them and they put up a good fight against an academy with hand picked players. I got the goal that the pirates scored on camera, a penalty, which I will put on YouTube when I get the chance! The second game ended up 1-1 after a controversial decision from the ref! The beacon pirate crowd was from far from pleased and bombarded the referee with DOMBBB REF! (Dumb Referee).

Overall it was a nice day and we will be back there on Sunday to cheer on the boys and speak to various local coaches.

Our afternoon/evening was pretty dry to be honest, just had a snooze, washed, had dinner, shopped, withdrew some money and sat downstairs on the wifi! Fun stuff. Be jealous! However, we did get a call from Louren to say she would take us to see some cheetahs and penguins tomorrow. Can't wait!! Although, I can wait for Arsenal vs Chelsea tomorrow, very nervous! Massive game.
